Rm Valcea city, entrance Zavoi Park

On July 29, 1848 in the Zavoi Park, it is sung for the first time the song "Desteapta-te, romane!" composed by Anton Pann on the verses of the poem "Un rasunet" by Andrei Muresanu, at the ceremony held to honor the victory of revolution and the blessing of the flags of national freedom. Over the years, following the revolution of December 1989, " Desteapta-te, romane!" became the national anthem of Romania.
